Influence of Nanosilica Particle Addition on Mechanical and Water Retention Properties of Natural Flax- and Sisal-Based Hybrid Nanocomposites under NaOH Conditions

Organic filament-based lightweight materials are increasingly being used because of their high strength-to-weight ratio, recyclability, and low cost. The application nanofillers in addition to natural fibres is a fascinating one. main purpose the current experimental investigation manufacture estimate mechanical material nanocomposites. Natural like flax sisal as reinforcement; nanosilica particles act fillers, epoxy resin matrix. composites were created using Taguchi L9 orthogonal array hand lay-up technique. water retention behaviour hybrid based on following three parameters, each with different levels: (i) adding weight ratios nanofiller (1.5, 3, 4.5 wt%), (ii) ratio reinforcements (20, 30, 40 (iii) duration NaOCl conditions (2, 4, 6 hours). Mechanical possessions tension, bending, impact tested per ASTM standard. show that 30 wt% reinforcement, 3 nanosilica, 4 hours alkaline processing provide best aquatic preoccupation belongings.
